Co-created product taxonomy with standard Shopify fields as well as product metafields to map the Prestashop products to Shopify products.
Exported, processed and imported the existing products & customers into the Shopify store.
Setup store theme design & development based on the brand identity.

Setup a server to handle webhooks from/to Shopify & MAKE to ensure both systems are synchronised.

Background

Jaiio is a French startup operating a vide-dressing marketplace. the core business is receiving secondhand items on behalf of sellers that wish to sell their clothes, Jaiio verifies the items quality and lists them for sale on the marketplace. buyers then can navigate through the marketplace and purchase the clothes. upon a sale, Jaiio collects a commission and disburses the remainder to respective item owner.

After scaling their operation, it was clear that Prestashop is not their suited for the business use case, notably they had complexity and issues ensuring their data is accurate and up to date. to was clear that a more opinionated platform was needed to faciliate the growth of the company.

Overview

CeladonWorks engaged with Jaiio on multiple fronts to understand and identify how to best migrate their existing customer & products from Prestashop to Shopify. Our team also identified and planned the functionalities that Shopify does not offer out of the box which will need custom development to replicate, notable custom features are; the form by which a Seller can declare and submit items the wish to sell, and a dashboard on the customer profile for sellers to check the status of their items and money earned. the project also required synchronising data from/to Shopify & Airtable & MAKE to ensure data integrity across al departments
